Presbyterian Women (PW) is an independent organization within the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) of more than 300,000 women.
Presbyterian Women (PW) offers women in the church meaningful ways to live out their faith in the midst of a caring community of women. For more than 200 years Presbyterian women’s groups have strengthened the Presbyterian Church and played a major role in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and witnessing to the promise of God’s kingdom.
Purpose of Presbyterian Women:
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves
- to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study,
- to support the mission of the church worldwide,
- to work for justice and peace,
- and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.
Presbyterian Women at Cann Memorial
At Cann, we currently offer two circles which meet monthly at different times for fellowship, Bible study, and service projects.
Daytime Circle: 10:00am, 2nd Monday of the Month at various member's homes (call church for this month's location) Varied programs are presented by the members.
Evening Circle; 6pm, 2nd Tuesday of the Month with pot luck supper in the church fellowship hall. (call church for specifics) This circle draws their programs principally from the Horizon's Bible Study published by PCUSA. The Bible study this year is based on the Community of Christians as viewed in the book of Hebrews. New members are always welcome.
