We are growing an exciting children's ministry at Cann Memorial with the help of Our wonderful Youth Ministry Coordinator and guidance from Pastor Elizabeth.

We believe that we are all Children of God, and it is our responsibility to nurture and grow our young disciples in the faith. It is our hope to provide a safe and warm environment for youth and children to develop their relationship with Christ.

Meet our Youth Ministries Coordinator

Rebecca has been working as our Youth Ministries Coordinator since October 2017. She works along side the Christian Education Committee as well as with Pastor Elizabeth. She is currently studying Secondary Education Biology at Elizabeth City State University. She will be graduating in May 2020.

"I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to work with Cann Memorial. I have a passion for teaching and am extremely excited to work with the children. God has helped guide me to where I am today. With the help of Pastor Elizabeth and the Christian Education Committee I will be able to help the children grow spiritually and  in their relationship with Christ." -Rebecca Rawls

Looking for something for your little one?

On Sunday mornings we will have an organized lesson by Rebecca Rawls starting at 10:30 AM in the nursery. Our Sunday School lessons are intended for children elementary age and below.

At 11:00 AM the children will join us in the sanctuary for a Young Disciples lesson given by Pastor Elizabeth. Following this the children will return to the nursery to finish their lesson and to create a craft.

Please feel free to allow your child to check out the Prayground. It is located in the first pew at the front of the sanctuary. There are coloring pages, books, and crafts for all ages.

Throughout the year we have many other family-centered and educational opportunities for our young disciples
